Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your loaf pan.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  3. Mix in the melted butter, followed by sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Stir until well combined.
  4. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Blend the dry ingredients into the wet mixture gently until just combined.
  6. Fold in the optional nuts or chocolate chips if using.
  7. Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
