Description

Delicious mini onions with a crispy coating, perfect as an appetizer or snack.


Ingredients

  • 4 Mini Onions
  • 1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/4 cup Cornstarch
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 cup Buttermilk
  • 1 cup Seasoned Bread Crumbs
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • Oil Spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the onions by trimming the tops and cutting downwards into 4-6 sections without cutting through.
  3. Combine flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
  4. Whisk together the egg and buttermilk in another bowl.
  5. Dip each onion in the egg mixture, letting excess drip off, then coat in flour mixture.
  6. Roll each onion in breadcrumbs to ensure even coating.
  7. Spritz lightly with oil spray.
  8. Air fry for 10-12 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  9. Serve immediately with your choice of dipping sauces.

Notes

For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free flour and breadcrumbs.
