- 4 Mini Onions
- 1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour
- 1/4 cup Cornstarch
- 1 Egg
- 1/2 cup Buttermilk
- 1 cup Seasoned Bread Crumbs
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Paprika
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- Oil Spray
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare the onions by trimming the tops and cutting downwards into 4-6 sections without cutting through.
- Combine flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
- Whisk together the egg and buttermilk in another bowl.
- Dip each onion in the egg mixture, letting excess drip off, then coat in flour mixture.
- Roll each onion in breadcrumbs to ensure even coating.
- Spritz lightly with oil spray.
- Air fry for 10-12 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve immediately with your choice of dipping sauces.
Notes
For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free flour and breadcrumbs.
