Deliciously crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside, these Air Fryer Fried Macaroni and Cheese Balls are a nostalgic twist on a classic dish. Perfect for sharing as an appetizer or enjoying as a snack.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups macaroni and cheese (prepared)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix the prepared macaroni and cheese with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Form the mixture into small balls, about the size of a golf ball, and chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.
  4. Beat the egg in one bowl and mix the breadcrumbs with Parmesan cheese in another.
  5. Dip each ball into the beaten egg, then roll in the breadcrumb mixture.
  6. Spray the air fryer basket lightly with cooking spray and place the balls in a single layer.
  7. Spray the tops of the balls with cooking spray.
  8. Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  9. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

Chilling the balls helps them hold their shape during cooking. Feel free to experiment with different cheeses or spices to make them your own.
