- 2 slices of hearty bread (sourdough, brioche, or whole grain)
- 1 cup cooked chicken (shredded rotisserie or grilled)
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
- 1/2 cup cheese (mild cheddar or pepper jack)
- Butter for spreading
Instructions
- Prepare the chicken by shredding it and mixing with BBQ sauce until evenly coated.
- Assemble the sandwich by buttering one side of each slice of bread, then layering chicken and cheese between them.
- Cook the sandwich in a skillet over medium heat for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
- Flip the sandwich carefully and cook for another 3-4 minutes until cheese is melted.
- Slice diagonally and serve hot.
