- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper

- 1 cup cooked chicken, mushrooms, or vegetables
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs or crushed crackers
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- Sauté the onion and garlic: In a heavy-bottomed pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, stirring until translucent, then add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Combine the rice by stirring it into the buttery onion and garlic mixture.
- Pour in the broth and milk (or cream), season with salt and pepper, and stir well.
- Incorporate any cooked chicken, mushrooms, or veggies gently.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
- Top with cheese and breadcrumbs.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Serve after cooling for a few minutes.
