Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C), and grease your baking dish.
  2. Mix the bananas, sugar, melted butter, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt in a bowl until well coated.
  3. Prepare the batter by whisking together self-rising flour, milk, and additional sugar in another bowl.
  4. Assemble by pouring the batter into the prepared baking dish, topping it with the banana mixture.
  5. Bake for 45–50 minutes until the top is golden and edges bubble.
  6. Rest for 10 minutes before serving warm with optional toppings.
