Description

A delightful combination of warm pretzel dough filled with seasoned beef and gooey cheese, perfect for gatherings and game nights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1/4 cup yellow mustard
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Coarse salt (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the beef: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until it turns a beautiful brown color. Drain the excess fat, then stir in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Prepare the biscuit dough: Open the can of refrigerated biscuit dough and roll out each piece.
  4. Fill each dough piece: Place a spoonful of the cooled beef mixture and a sprinkle of cheese in the center.
  5. Seal the bombs: Fold the dough around the filling, pinching it tightly.
  6. Arrange on the baking sheet: Place these seam-side down on your lined baking sheet.
  7. Brush with egg wash: Generously brush the tops with the beaten egg, then sprinkle with coarse salt.
  8. Bake: Place in the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Serve: Allow to cool slightly, then serve warm with mustard and ketchup for dipping.

Notes

Make-Ahead: Assemble and store the pretzel bombs in the fridge for up to a day. Ensure to let them rest at room temperature before baking.
