- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 slices of garlic bread
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it apart with your spatula. Drain excess fat.
- Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until the onion turns translucent.
- Stir in the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, and pepper. Let simmer for 5-10 minutes.
- Arrange the garlic bread slices on a baking sheet.
- Spoon the Sloppy Joe mixture onto each slice of garlic bread.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese atop the filling.
- Bake in the oven for about 10-12 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve hot.
Notes
Make-ahead tips: Prepare the Sloppy Joe filling in advance and store in the fridge for up to two days. Use an air fryer for a quicker cooking method.
