- 2 lbs fresh boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 2 cups breadcrumbs (panko preferred)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- Cooking oil (for frying)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) if baking, or heat oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat.
- Prepare the chicken by butterflying and cutting it into strips.
- Set up your dredging stations with flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs.
- Dredge each chicken strip in flour, then dip in eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
- Cook in the oven for 20-25 minutes or fry in oil for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
Notes
For a healthier option, use an air fryer at 375°F for 10-12 minutes. Make-ahead by freezing uncooked tenders!
