Description

A tender chicken breast bathed in a heavenly cream sauce served with fettuccine or penne, this Cowboy Butter Chicken Pasta promises comfort and indulgence.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 oz fettuccine or penne pasta
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and reserve a cup of cooking water.
  2. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Season chicken with salt and pepper, cook in the skillet for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through.
  5. Add heavy cream and lemon juice to the skillet, stirring gently and allowing it to thicken slightly.
  6. Toss the drained pasta with the sauce, adding reserved pasta water if needed for consistency.
  7. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.
