- 4 Chicken Breasts
- 1 Cup Sliced Mushrooms
- 1 Cup Heavy Cream
- 1 Cup Grated Asiago Cheese
- 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 2 Cloves Garlic, Minced
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- Fresh Parsley for Garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper and add them to the skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
- Add minced garlic and sliced mushrooms to the skillet; sauté until mushrooms soften, about 4-5 minutes.
- Pour in heavy cream and gently stir as it simmers. Add grated Asiago cheese and stir until melted.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning sauce over it, and let simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream. Optionally, you can prepare the mushrooms and sauce ahead of time and store in the fridge for up to two days.
