Description

Tender chicken breasts simmered in a rich cream and Asiago cheese sauce, with sautéed mushrooms for a comforting and flavorful dish perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 4 Chicken Breasts
  • 1 Cup Sliced Mushrooms
  • 1 Cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 Cup Grated Asiago Cheese
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 2 Cloves Garlic, Minced
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • Fresh Parsley for Garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper and add them to the skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
  3. Add minced garlic and sliced mushrooms to the skillet; sauté until mushrooms soften, about 4-5 minutes.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and gently stir as it simmers. Add grated Asiago cheese and stir until melted.
  5. Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning sauce over it, and let simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream. Optionally, you can prepare the mushrooms and sauce ahead of time and store in the fridge for up to two days.
