- 1 1/4 cups chicken stock
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Prepare your ingredients: Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- Sauté the onion: In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat and add the onion.
- Add garlic and rice: Stir in the garlic powder, followed by the rinsed rice.
- Incorporate the liquids: Add the chicken stock and salt, bringing the mixture to a boil.
- Mix in milk and cheese: Stir in the milk and lemon juice after 15 minutes of simmering.
- Finish with cheese: Remove from heat and fold in the grated Parmesan and parsley.
- Serve and enjoy: Garnish with extra Parmesan and parsley, serving warm.
Notes
For a vegetarian version, use vegetable broth instead of chicken stock. You can also add proteins like chicken or shrimp for a complete meal.
