- Lasagna Noodles
- 1 cup Ricotta Cheese
- 2 cups Mozzarella Cheese (shredded)
- 1½ cups Heavy Cream
- 4 tablespoons Butter
- ¼ cup Flour
- 1 finely diced Onion
- 2 minced Garlic cloves
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- Fresh Parsley for garnish
- Grated Parmesan Cheese for topping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
- Melt 4 tablespoons of butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add diced onion and minced garlic; sauté until soft.
- Stir in ¼ cup of flour and cook for 1 minute until golden. Gradually whisk in 2 cups of heavy cream and stir until thickened, about 3-5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
- Layer cooked noodles, 1 cup of ricotta, 2 cups of mozzarella, and 1½ cups of white sauce in a baking dish. Repeat layers, finishing with mozzarella and Parmesan.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 15-20 minutes until top is golden and bubbly.
- Let cool for a few minutes and sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
Make-ahead tips include preparing the dish a day in advance and refrigerating it overnight for enhanced flavor. You can also add sautéed vegetables for extra nutrition.
