Description

A luxurious take on traditional lasagna with layers of creamy cheeses, rich flavors, and aromatic herbs, perfect for family gatherings or cozy evenings.


Ingredients

  • Lasagna Noodles
  • 1 cup Ricotta Cheese
  • 2 cups Mozzarella Cheese (shredded)
  • 1½ cups Heavy Cream
  • 4 tablespoons Butter
  • ¼ cup Flour
  • 1 finely diced Onion
  • 2 minced Garlic cloves
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • Fresh Parsley for garnish
  • Grated Parmesan Cheese for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  3. Melt 4 tablespoons of butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add diced onion and minced garlic; sauté until soft.
  4. Stir in ¼ cup of flour and cook for 1 minute until golden. Gradually whisk in 2 cups of heavy cream and stir until thickened, about 3-5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Layer cooked noodles, 1 cup of ricotta, 2 cups of mozzarella, and 1½ cups of white sauce in a baking dish. Repeat layers, finishing with mozzarella and Parmesan.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 15-20 minutes until top is golden and bubbly.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes and sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Make-ahead tips include preparing the dish a day in advance and refrigerating it overnight for enhanced flavor. You can also add sautéed vegetables for extra nutrition.
