Ingredients

- 1 package of puff pastry sheets
- 4 ounces of sliced ham
- 4 ounces of cheese (Swiss or cheddar)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: Dijon mustard or your favorite condiment
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface.
- Layer a slice of ham and a slice of cheese in the center of each pastry piece.
- Add a little Dijon mustard if desired.
- Fold the pastry over to encase the filling.
- Seal the edges with a fork.
- Place the stacks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Beat the egg and brush it over the tops.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
Make ahead by assembling in advance and refrigerating. For air frying, preheat to 375°F (190°C) and cook for 10-12 minutes.
