Description

Delightful crispy pastry stacks filled with savory ham and gooey cheese, perfect for any gathering or cozy snack.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package of puff pastry sheets
  • 4 ounces of sliced ham
  • 4 ounces of cheese (Swiss or cheddar)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Dijon mustard or your favorite condiment

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Layer a slice of ham and a slice of cheese in the center of each pastry piece.
  4. Add a little Dijon mustard if desired.
  5. Fold the pastry over to encase the filling.
  6. Seal the edges with a fork.
  7. Place the stacks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Beat the egg and brush it over the tops.
  9. Season with salt and pepper.
  10. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

Make ahead by assembling in advance and refrigerating. For air frying, preheat to 375°F (190°C) and cook for 10-12 minutes.
