- 16 ounces Rotini Pasta
- 1 pound Ground Beef
- 1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt
- 1 cup Pepperoni
- 1 cup Green Bell Pepper, diced
- 1 medium Onion, diced
- 24 ounces Marinara Sauce
- 2 cups Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a large baking dish.
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the rotini pasta until al dente, then strain and set aside.
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef for about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Add the diced onion and green bell pepper to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes until softened.
- Stir in the marinara sauce, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and kosher salt. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked rotini with the meat sauce and mix in the pepperoni and 1 cup of mozzarella cheese.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and top with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
- Cover the dish loosely with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the top is golden brown.
- Remove from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, then serve.
Notes
Make ahead by assembling the casserole a day in advance and refrigerating. You can also customize it with your favorite additions like extra veggies or different cheeses.
