Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp baking powder

  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and a pinch of salt in a large bowl.
  3. Cube the cold butter and cut it into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Beat the eggs and milk in a separate bowl and combine with the dry ingredients.
  5. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about ½-inch thick.
  6. Cut the pastry into desired shapes.
  7. Brush with milk and sprinkle with sugar before transferring to a baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar and serving.
