Ingredients

  • 2 large cucumbers, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1/4 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup vinegar (white or apple cider)
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 cup fresh dill, chopped
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Slice the cucumbers and sprinkle with salt. Let rest for about 30 minutes.
  2. Combine vinegar, sugar, and black pepper in a separate bowl, whisking until sugar dissolves.
  3. Rinse the cucumbers under cold water and drain thoroughly.
  4. Add cucumber slices to the dressing bowl, along with the red onion and dill, and toss to combine.
  5. Transfer the salad back into the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes to chill.
  6. Garnish with additional dill or a sprinkle of fresh pepper before serving.

Notes
