Ingredients

- 2 large cucumbers, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1/4 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup vinegar (white or apple cider)
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/4 cup fresh dill, chopped
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Slice the cucumbers and sprinkle with salt. Let rest for about 30 minutes.
- Combine vinegar, sugar, and black pepper in a separate bowl, whisking until sugar dissolves.
- Rinse the cucumbers under cold water and drain thoroughly.
- Add cucumber slices to the dressing bowl, along with the red onion and dill, and toss to combine.
- Transfer the salad back into the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes to chill.
- Garnish with additional dill or a sprinkle of fresh pepper before serving.
