Ingredients

  • 1 cup caramelized onions
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (Swiss or Gruyere)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the ground beef, caramelized onions, shredded cheese, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Mix until well combined, using a spatula to gently fold all ingredients together.
  4. Form the mixture into a loaf shape and place it in a greased baking dish.
  5. Bake for approximately 1 hour, until the meatloaf reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).
