Description

A comforting and flavorful dish featuring tender chicken breasts in a rich garlic butter sauce served over al dente linguine.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 ounces linguine
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the linguine in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside, saving a splash of pasta water.
  2. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  4. Season chicken with salt and pepper, then cook in the skillet until golden brown and fully cooked (5-7 minutes on each side). Remove and let rest before slicing.
  5. Add cooked linguine to the skillet, tossing to combine. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water.
  6. Plate the linguine topped with sliced chicken, then garnish with Parmesan and parsley.

Notes

To enhance flavor, prepare garlic butter and chicken in advance. Try adding vegetables or substituting chicken with seafood for variation.
