- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups chicken broth or vegetable broth
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
- Sauté the minced garlic for 1–2 minutes until fragrant and golden.
- Toast the rinsed rice, stirring to coat thoroughly in the garlic butter for 2–3 minutes.
- Add the broth and salt, bringing the mixture to a boil.
- Reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for 15–18 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let it rest covered for an additional 5 minutes.
- Fluff the rice with a fork and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
Rinsing the rice helps in achieving a light, fluffy texture. Garlic butter rice can be made a few hours in advance.
