Ingredients

  • Steaks (flank, ribeye, or sirloin)
  • Garlic (freshly minced)
  • Butter
  • Potatoes (Russet or Yukon Gold)
  • Cheddar Cheese (shredded sharp)
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Olive Oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season the steaks with salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. Sear the steaks in a skillet with olive oil for 3-4 minutes per side until golden-brown; let them rest.
  4. Prepare the potatoes by thinly slicing and tossing with melted butter and minced garlic.
  5. Layer half the potatoes in a baking dish, place the seared steaks on top, and finish with the remaining potato slices.
  6. Add shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the potatoes are tender and cheese is golden and bubbly.
