Ingredients
- Steaks (flank, ribeye, or sirloin)
- Garlic (freshly minced)
- Butter
- Potatoes (Russet or Yukon Gold)
- Cheddar Cheese (shredded sharp)
- Salt
- Pepper
- Olive Oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Season the steaks with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Sear the steaks in a skillet with olive oil for 3-4 minutes per side until golden-brown; let them rest.
- Prepare the potatoes by thinly slicing and tossing with melted butter and minced garlic.
- Layer half the potatoes in a baking dish, place the seared steaks on top, and finish with the remaining potato slices.
- Add shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the potatoes are tender and cheese is golden and bubbly.
- Cool slightly before serving.
