Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with cupcake liners.
- Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Mix in the vanilla extract.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, and salt in another bowl.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk.
- Divide the batter into three separate bowls; add strawberry puree to one, cocoa powder to the second, and leave the third as is.
- Spoon the batters into the cupcake liners, alternating flavors for a layered effect.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let the cupcakes cool completely on a wire rack.
- Top with whipped cream, and garnish with chocolate shavings and fresh strawberries.
