Description

A comforting and indulgent seafood lasagna layered with shrimp, ricotta, and creamy béchamel sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh shrimp, deveined
  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 3 cups milk
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Pinch of nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease your baking dish lightly.
  2. Sauté shrimp in a skillet with olive oil, minced garlic, and salt for about 3-4 minutes until pink. Set aside.
  3. Make béchamel sauce: melt butter, stir in flour, whisk in milk, season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg until thickened.
  4. Layer the lasagna: spread marinara sauce, add noodles, ricotta, sautéed shrimp, béchamel, and sprinkle mozzarella. Repeat layers, ending with marinara and béchamel topped with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan.
  5. Bake covered with foil for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden.
  6. Rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

You can assemble the lasagna a day in advance and refrigerate. Adjust baking time as needed when baking from cold.
