Description

Crispy phyllo pastry rolls filled with creamy feta and ricotta, drizzled with chili honey for a perfect blend of salty and sweet.


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces feta cheese
  • 4 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 8 sheets of phyllo pastry
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • Honey to taste
  • Chili flakes to taste
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Mix the feta cheese, ricotta cheese, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Lay out a sheet of phyllo pastry and brush with melted butter.
  4. Place another sheet of phyllo on top and brush with butter.
  5. Spoon the cheese mixture onto one end and roll tightly.
  6. Repeat with remaining phyllo and cheese mixture.
  7. Place rolls on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  8. Brush the tops with remaining melted butter.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden.
  10. Drizzle with honey and sprinkle with chili flakes before serving.

Notes

For a make-ahead option, prepare and freeze before baking. Bake from frozen, adding a few extra minutes to cooking time.
