  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 400 grams cream cheese
  • 500 grams fresh peaches, sliced
  • 200 grams all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 100 grams powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease your baking dish.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy.
  3. Add in the eggs one by one, mixing well after each addition, followed by the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Slowly integrate into the butter-sugar mix.
  5. Fold in the cream cheese, keeping it light and fluffy. Then gently fold in the fresh peach slices.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top with a spatula.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Make the glaze by whisking powdered sugar, milk, and almond extract until smooth and drizzle it over the cooled bars.
