Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a round cake pan.
- Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3–5 minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the crushed pineapple and vanilla extract.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For a tropical twist, consider adding chopped nuts or coconut flakes. To enhance freshness, use fresh pineapple if available.
