- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 large russet potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 can (15 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Brown the beef: In a skillet over medium heat, add ground beef until sizzles and caramelizes. Drain excess fat.
- Combine ingredients: Add browned beef, potatoes, peas, onion, tomatoes, soup, broth, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper to the slow cooker. Stir well.
- Cook it low and slow: Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours until potatoes are tender.
- Melt the cheese: 15 minutes before serving, sprinkle cheese on top and let it melt.
- Serve and enjoy: Ladle into bowls and enjoy with bread or salad.
Notes
You can prepare the vegetable and beef mixture the night before. Use alternative meats or add seasonal vegetables for customization.
