- 1 package puff pastry sheets
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon milk (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick and cut into 4×4 inch squares.
- Mix the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla in a bowl until smooth.
- Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square.
- Top with sliced strawberries.
- Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling and seal by pinching the edges.
- Brush the pastries with an egg and milk mixture for an egg wash.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
For best results, chill the puff pastry before handling, and consider making the cream cheese mixture ahead of time.
