Description

A warm, flaky pastry bursting with fresh strawberries and a creamy filling, perfect for indulging any time of day.


Ingredients

  • 1 package puff pastry sheets
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon milk (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick and cut into 4×4 inch squares.
  3. Mix the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla in a bowl until smooth.
  4. Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square.
  5. Top with sliced strawberries.
  6. Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling and seal by pinching the edges.
  7. Brush the pastries with an egg and milk mixture for an egg wash.
  8. Bake for 15–20 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
  9. Let cool before serving.

Notes

For best results, chill the puff pastry before handling, and consider making the cream cheese mixture ahead of time.
