- 1/2 cup strawberry puree (fresh or frozen and thawed)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 tablespoons additional strawberry puree
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice (optional, for brightness)
- Fresh strawberries for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven following the instructions on the cake mix box.
- Combine the cake mix, strawberry puree, and vanilla extract in a large mixing bowl. Mix until smooth.
- Pour the batter evenly into prepared cake pans.
- Bake in the preheated oven according to package instructions.
- Whisk together the powdered sugar, 2–3 tablespoons of strawberry puree, and lemon juice to make the glaze.
- Cool the cake in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack to cool completely.
- Pour the glaze over the cooled cake.
- Garnish with fresh strawberries before serving.
