Description

A delightful twist on traditional tacos featuring crispy wonton wrappers filled with seasoned chicken and fresh toppings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 20 wonton wrappers
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1 diced tomato
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine your ground chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, salt, and any additional spices.
  2. Cook the Chicken Mixture: Heat your frying pan over medium heat and add the chicken mixture. Cook for about 6-8 minutes until it’s thoroughly cooked.
  3. Shape the Wontons: Take a wonton wrapper, place about a tablespoon of the chicken mixture in the center, wet the edges, fold and seal tightly.
  4. Crisp the Wontons: In the same frying pan, heat oil on medium-high. Fry the wontons until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
  5. Assemble Your Tacos: Fill each wonton shell with cooked chicken and top with shredded cabbage, diced tomatoes, avocado, and a squeeze of lime.

Notes

For a healthier option, you can bake the wontons instead of frying them. Always taste your filling before cooking!
