Description

A quick and easy recipe for delicious basil bread that can be made in just one hour.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and chopped basil.
  3. In another bowl, combine the milk and olive oil.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Transfer the dough to a greased loaf pan.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For a stronger basil flavor, add more fresh basil.
  • This bread is best served warm.
