- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and chopped basil.
- In another bowl, combine the milk and olive oil.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Transfer the dough to a greased loaf pan.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For a stronger basil flavor, add more fresh basil.
- This bread is best served warm.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
