Ingredients

  • 2 large apples, cored and diced
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Fold in the diced apples.
  7. Grease a muffin tin and fill each cup halfway with the batter.
  8. Add a spoonful of caramel sauce on top of the batter in each cup.
  9. Top with the remaining batter, covering the caramel.
  10. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. Let cool before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use brown sugar instead of white sugar.
  • Serve warm for a gooey caramel experience.
