- 2 large apples, cored and diced
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing well.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the diced apples.
- Grease a muffin tin and fill each cup halfway with the batter.
- Add a spoonful of caramel sauce on top of the batter in each cup.
- Top with the remaining batter, covering the caramel.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use brown sugar instead of white sugar.
- Serve warm for a gooey caramel experience.
- These can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
