Description

Delicious and fluffy baked blueberry donuts that are easy to make and perfect for breakfast or a sweet treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, mix the buttermilk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients until just mixed.
  5. Gently fold in the blueberries.
  6. Fill the donut pan with the batter, about 2/3 full.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let the donuts cool for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.

Notes

  • For a sweeter donut, you can add a glaze or sprinkle powdered sugar on top.
  • These donuts are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
  • Feel free to substitute frozen blueberries if fresh ones are not available.
