Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, sugar, melted butter, vanilla extract, and beaten egg.
- In another bowl, mix the baking soda, salt, and flour.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring until just combined.
- If using, fold in the chopped nuts.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
