Description

Delicious meatball subs featuring bourbon BBQ sauce, bacon, and cheeseburgers, perfect for a hearty dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup bourbon BBQ sauce
  • 8 slices cooked bacon, chopped
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 4 sub rolls

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  4. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through.
  5. In a saucepan, heat the bourbon BBQ sauce over medium heat. Add the cooked meatballs and chopped bacon, stirring to coat.
  6. Slice the sub rolls and place them on a serving platter.
  7. Fill each sub roll with meatballs and top with a slice of cheddar cheese.
  8. Optional: Place the assembled subs under the broiler for 2-3 minutes to melt the cheese.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy!

  • Feel free to adjust the amount of BBQ sauce to your taste.
