Delicious meatball subs featuring bourbon BBQ sauce, bacon, and cheeseburgers, perfect for a hearty dinner.

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup bourbon BBQ sauce
- 8 slices cooked bacon, chopped
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 4 sub rolls
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Place the meatballs on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through.
- In a saucepan, heat the bourbon BBQ sauce over medium heat. Add the cooked meatballs and chopped bacon, stirring to coat.
- Slice the sub rolls and place them on a serving platter.
- Fill each sub roll with meatballs and top with a slice of cheddar cheese.
- Optional: Place the assembled subs under the broiler for 2-3 minutes to melt the cheese.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
- Feel free to adjust the amount of BBQ sauce to your taste.
- These subs can be made ahead of time and reheated before serving.
- For a spicier kick, add jalapeños or hot sauce to the meatball mixture.
