- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin spice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 1 tablespoon milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, pumpkin spice, and salt.

- In a separate bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, milk, egg, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and gently knead it a few times. Pat it into a circle about 1 inch thick.
- Cut the dough into wedges and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

- While the scones are baking, prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
- Once the scones are cool, drizzle the glaze over the top and serve.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use dark brown sugar.
- Store leftover scones in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- These scones can be frozen before baking; just add a few extra minutes to the baking time if baking from frozen.
