Instructions
- Soak the onion petals in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.

- Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
- Remove onion petals from buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off, then coat in the flour mixture.
- Fry the coated onion petals in hot oil until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
- For the dip, mix sour cream, chives, and lemon juice in a bowl.
- Serve the fried onion petals hot with the creamy dip.
