Ingredients

- 4 cups of diced apples
- 2 cups of granulated sugar
- 1 cup of brown sugar
- 1/2 cup of unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup of lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
Instructions
- Prepare the apples by peeling, coring, and dicing them into small pieces.
- In a large pot, combine the diced apples, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and lemon juice.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently until the sugars dissolve and the mixture starts to bubble.
- Add the butter, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt to the pot.
- Continue to cook the mixture, stirring occasionally, until it thickens (about 20-30 minutes).
- Once thickened, remove from heat and let it cool slightly before transferring to sterilized jars.
- Seal the jars and let them cool completely before storing in the refrigerator.

- For a smoother texture, blend the mixture before transferring to jars.
- This jam can be used on toast, pancakes, or as a filling for pastries.
- Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.
