Description

Delicious and flaky puff pastry twists filled with cheesy sausage, perfect for a snack or appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 1 package puff pastry (2 sheets)
  • 1 cup cooked sausage, crumbled
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a floured surface.
  3. In a bowl, mix the crumbled sausage, shredded cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Cut the puff pastry into strips, about 1 inch wide.
  5. Place a spoonful of the sausage mixture at one end of each strip.
  6. Fold the pastry over the filling and twist to seal.
  7. Place the twists on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy!
