- 1 cup strong brewed coffee
- 1/2 cup amaretto liqueur
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup cherries, pitted and halved
- 24 ladyfinger cookies
- Cocoa powder for dusting
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine brewed coffee and amaretto liqueur.
- In another bowl, whip heavy cream until soft peaks form.
- In a separate bowl, mix mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture.
- Dip each ladyfinger into the coffee-amaretto mixture briefly, then layer them in a serving dish.
- Spread a layer of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
- Add a layer of cherries on top of the mascarpone.
- Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with the mascarpone mixture on top.
- Dust the top with cocoa powder and refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
Notes
- For a non-alcoholic version, substitute amaretto with almond extract and use milk instead of liqueur.
- Make sure to use fresh cherries for the best flavor.
- This dessert can be made a day in advance for better flavor melding.
