Description

Chicken Paprikash is a traditional Hungarian dish made with chicken, onions, and a rich paprika sauce, served over egg noodles or dumplings.


Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onions and garlic, sauté until translucent.
  3. Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet.
  4. Sprinkle paprika over the chicken and cook until browned.
  5. Pour in chicken broth, cover, and simmer for 30 minutes.
  6. Stir in sour cream and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  7. Serve over egg noodles or dumplings.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
