Description

Chocolate Caramel Tartlets are a delightful dessert featuring a rich chocolate crust filled with creamy caramel and topped with a smooth chocolate ganache.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, and powdered sugar.
  3. Add softened butter and egg yolk, and mix until a dough forms.
  4. Press the dough into tartlet pans and bake for 10-12 minutes.
  5. In a saucepan, combine granulated sugar and heavy cream over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips, corn syrup, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  7. Pour the chocolate caramel mixture into the baked tartlet shells.
  8. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.

  • Ensure the tartlet shells are completely cooled before adding the filling.
  • For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate chips.
