- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 2 taco-sized flour tortillas
- 1 cup refried beans
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or a Mexican blend)
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup sliced jalapeños (optional)
- Sour cream and green onions for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it apart and draining excess fat.
- Add taco seasoning to beef, mixing in water as directed.
- Spread half of the refried beans on one flour tortilla.
- Layer seasoned beef on beans, followed by half of the cheese.
- Top with a second tortilla and repeat layering with remaining beans, beef, and cheese.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes until cheese bubbles and tortillas are golden.
- Remove from oven and add fresh tomatoes, jalapeños, and other toppings.
- Slice into wedges and serve hot.
