A warm, cheesy delightful fusion of ground beef, refried beans, and fresh toppings, reminiscent of your favorite fast-food indulgence.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 2 taco-sized flour tortillas
  • 1 cup refried beans
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or a Mexican blend)
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup sliced jalapeños (optional)
  • Sour cream and green onions for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it apart and draining excess fat.
  3. Add taco seasoning to beef, mixing in water as directed.
  4. Spread half of the refried beans on one flour tortilla.
  5. Layer seasoned beef on beans, followed by half of the cheese.
  6. Top with a second tortilla and repeat layering with remaining beans, beef, and cheese.
  7. Bake for 10-15 minutes until cheese bubbles and tortillas are golden.
  8. Remove from oven and add fresh tomatoes, jalapeños, and other toppings.
  9. Slice into wedges and serve hot.

Notes

Customize toppings to taste, and consider making ahead by prepping beef and beans in advance.
