Description

A delicious twist on the classic Cheddar Bay Biscuit, stuffed with crab and served with a zesty lemon butter sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cold buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup cooked crab meat
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese.
  4. Add the cold buttermilk and mix until just combined.
  5. Fold in the crab meat gently.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, lemon juice, and parsley for the sauce.
  9. Drizzle the lemon butter sauce over the warm biscuits before serving.
