- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 cups vegetable broth
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the orzo and toast for 2-3 minutes until slightly golden.
- Pour in the vegetable broth and bring to a boil.
- Add the broccoli florets and reduce heat to a simmer.
- Cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the orzo is tender and the liquid is mostly absorbed.
- Stir in the heavy cream and shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
- Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper to taste.
