Description

A comforting pasta dish filled with seasoned ground beef and rich cheeses, topped with marinara and melted mozzarella.


Ingredients

  • 12 large pasta shells
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente; drain carefully and set aside to cool slightly.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and crumbly; drain excess fat.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until creamy.
  5. Stuff each pasta shell with the beef mixture, pressing slightly to fit.
  6. Arrange the stuffed shells in a baking dish.
  7. Pour the marinara sauce over the shells and dollop with cream cheese.
  8. Top with remaining mozzarella cheese.
  9. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes; then remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Make-ahead: Assemble a day in advance and refrigerate. Adjust baking time if baking from chilled.
