Description

A delicious crusty cob loaf filled with succulent garlic butter prawns, perfect for sharing.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large cob loaf
  • 500g prawns, peeled and deveined
  • 100g butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Cut the top off the cob loaf and hollow out the inside.
  3. In a pan, melt the butter over medium heat and add the minced garlic.
  4. Add the prawns to the pan and cook until they turn pink.
  5. Stir in the chopped parsley and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Fill the hollowed cob loaf with the garlic butter prawns.
  7. Place the lid back on the cob loaf and wrap it in foil.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes.
  9. Remove from the oven, unwrap, and serve warm.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a splash of lemon juice to the prawns.
  • Serve with a side salad for a complete meal.
  • Can substitute prawns with chicken or vegetables for a different variation.
