Ingredients

- 4 Chicken thighs or breasts (bone-in recommended)
- 1/4 cup Fresh herbs (parsley, thyme, or rosemary)
- 1 cup Chicken broth or stock
- 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
- 1 Onion (diced)
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil or butter
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Season the chicken with salt and pepper on both sides and add it to the skillet.
- Sear until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
- Flip the chicken and cook for another 5 minutes, then remove from the skillet.
- Add garlic and onion to the skillet, sauté for 2-3 minutes until translucent.
- Pour in 1 cup of chicken broth, scraping up any brown bits from the skillet.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, reduce heat, cover, and braise for 15-20 minutes.
- Remove the lid, add chopped herbs, and cook for a few more minutes.
- Serve hot with the sauce drizzled over the chicken.
Notes
Marinate the chicken in herbs and salt a few hours before cooking for enhanced flavor.
