- 0.5 cup mayonnaise
- 0.25 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
- 1 tsp lime zest
- 2 tbsp lime juice
- 1 tbsp hot sauce
- 3 cups cooked rice (white or brown)
- 2 cups shredded cabbage
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 avocado, sliced
Instructions
- Season the fish: Pat the fish fillets dry and rub with chili powder, smoked paprika, ground cumin, garlic powder, and salt.
- Heat the skillet: In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat and add the seasoned fish. Cook for 3-5 minutes on each side until flaked easily.
- Add lime juice: Squeeze lime juice over the cooked fish before removing from heat.
- Combine ingredients: In a bowl, mix mayonnaise and sour cream until smooth, then add lime zest, lime juice, and hot sauce.
- Whisk to perfection: Blend until creamy, adjusting spice to taste.
- Layer the base: In bowls, start with a scoop of cooked rice.
- Add the fish: Flake the fish over the rice.
- Top it off: Add cabbage, cherry tomatoes, and avocado slices.
- Drizzle and enjoy: Finish with spicy mayo on top.
Notes
