French Onion Sausage Rolls

Description

Deliciously savory sausage rolls infused with the classic flavors of French onion soup, wrapped in flaky puff pastry.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground pork sausage
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 package puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cook the onions in a skillet with olive oil until golden brown, about 15–20 minutes.
  3. Mix the cooked onions with ground pork sausage in a bowl.
  4. Roll out the thawed puff pastry and cut into 3″x4″ rectangles.
  5. Assemble the rolls by placing filling on one end and rolling tightly, sealing with egg wash.
  6. Arrange rolls on a parchment-lined baking sheet and brush with beaten egg.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!
